A NIGHT TO REMEMBER IN WARWICK

*** PLEASE NOTE THAT DUE TO EXPECTED WEATHER FORECASTS, WE HAVE UNFORTUNATELY HAD TO POSTPONE TO THE 25th and 26th of JUNE PLEASE CONTACT US IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH YOUR ACCOMMODATION ***

The awe-inspiringly beautiful people of the 1800-120 Club have invited us to Warwick. Maybe they think we’ll make their cars look better – let’s prove how wrong they are.

The details provided are as follows:

Warwick Overnight.
The weekend starts with picnic lunch at Boonah at 12.30. Please arrive with plenty of petrol in the tank as I cannot guarantee a petrol station will be open after 12.00 at Boonah. At least 2 cafes and a bakery will be open for lunch or bring your own. You can either eat in town or meet up at Toby Slater Park on the south side of town. This is the start of Boonah Rathdowney Road. There are no toilet facilities at the park. Public toilets on Little High Street on the south side of the Town Center.
Departure at 1.30 pm Toby Slater Park south for 15 klms and turn right onto Killarney Creek Road. The following box contains approximate klms to each vantage spot and feel free to stop and enjoy the views. These stops are at your discretion. I have allowed plenty of time for you to enjoy the scenery. Drive through Killarney and signs will steer you to Warwick.

Our accommodation in Warwick will be at the Centre Point Mid City Motel at 32 Albion Street (New England highway). Plenty of parking inside. Dinner is across the road and a short walk to the RSL club at 65 Albion Road. I have not made a booking at this time but please advise me if you are eating at the RSL club and I will make the booking. If you would like to eat elsewhere please let me know.
Breakfast is your choice – either bring your own, in your motel room, in the town center or at the coffee shop where we will be showing our cars.

Leave the motel no later than 8.00am for a short drive to The Precinct at 145 Victoria Street. There is a coffee shop at the Precinct on Victoria St (the site of the old butter factory) there is ample parking out the back of the shop and plenty of seating inside and out. They serve coffee and cakes as well as light meals (I will get a menu to confirm what is available). Cars to be parked in place by 8.30am. Members from the Warwick Veteran and Vintage Car Club will be there to show some of their cars also.
Please drive safely and follow all road rules and signs. We must follow any health guidelines that are current at the time. If for any reason you are unwell or can not follow the health guidelines please do not come along.

I have reserved some rooms at the Centre point Motel for our stay. Please ring them and mention you are part of the Volvo 1800 – 120 Club group and make your booking.
